To achieve wealth, you need a runway. Step onto the tarmac here.

Before you can takeoff to financial independence, you will need to figure out how to build your runway first. Let me share with you how.

Hi. My name is Samuel Wong.

I’ve been in the financial services industry for more than 12 years. Before I embarked on this journey, I was an audit professional at one of the Big 4.

As part of my belief in providing further value-add to my network of clients, I also provide advice on securing residential or commercial loans. This stems from my past banking experience and knowledge.

Before I became a financial advisor, I was in the banking industry serving the UHNWI market. Here I will share my insights and experience through my stories here.

Property

I am not a property agent. However, I am familiar on what are the requirements for taking property loans thanks to my past banking background.

Retirement Planning

The best way to achieve your financial goals is to plan ahead and have time on your side.

Protection Planning

The healthy have many wishes. But the sick only have 1 wish. Who or what can you rely on if the unexpected and undesirable happens?

Career Optimization

Your career is your primary source of income. Here I share some tips and lessons I picked up on optimizing your career.

Business Owners

Your business is like a child. It requires nurturing and strong support in order to grow to the next level.

Life Lessons

After more than 20 years in the working world serving people from all walks of life, I have picked up a few important life lessons.

The Consulting Process

The topic of personal finance is PERSONAL. And I recognize that.

As such, I can understand if you are feeling reluctant to meet with an FA to discuss your financial goals or protection needs.

To make you feel at ease, I have my own personal rule. No selling during our first meeting. There is a reason why I can implement this rule.

My “No Selling” Rule

Let’s be clear. I do make a living from doing sales. I have a wife and elderly parents to support.

That being said, I am also someone who manages my personal expenses well. I do my best to practice what I preach. That means regularly investing, being prudent with my expenses and understanding the importance of being patient.

And so, I have my own investments as well that help to secure my own psychological safety.

Psychological Safety: There is something very freeing when you are responsible for your own monthly pay cheque.

You learn how to reverse-engineer and set targets for your income goals.

You learn how to be patient with results and create buffers so you can handle emergency expenses.

You learn how to manage your expenses, your investments, and your business.

For me, I’ve come to the stage where I am doing fine financially.

Client Testimonial

I have known Samuel since beginning of his banking days in 2011.

I met him in his branch then and after detailed explanation and I decided to purchase a product from him. Most bankers will usually move on after closing a deal.

However, Samuel is different. He kept updating me about my portfolio and did regular follow-ups. He is patient, reliable and knowledgeable.

It has been almost 13 years, and nothing has changed about him.

I trusted him in 2011, and I continue to trust him today.
