My Background

I have a fascination with planes. I guess it stemmed from the days when I was going through pilot selection training during National Service. Long story short, I didn’t get selected.

But the experience left an indelible mark in me.

Shortly after graduating with an accounting degree from an Australian university, I joined a Big 4 accounting firm as an auditor. From there, it sparked my interest in the financial services industry.

I have been in the financial services industry since 2011.

After moving away from being an auditor, I started a career as a banker in a local bank where I served HNWI clients on a regular basis. That was an interesting experience as I learnt about their expanded perspectives on life and business.

It shaped my worldview on how these financially successful people wanted to leave their own mark on the world.

Became a self-employed financial advisor since 2017

I left the security of a steady paycheck to chart my own career path as a financial advisor. It has definitely not been easy. But it’s definitely been fulfilling.

I am thankful for the support of my clients who has walked this path with me.

Their willingness to allow me to shape their future plans in terms of retirement and protection planning is a heavy responsibility I take seriously.

Why Wealth Tarmac?

Before a plane can take off, it needs a runway. The starting point is by taxiing on the airport tarmac before it receives clearance to take off.


For a light plane like a Cessna to take off, the typical runway length required is about 300-450m.

For a fully loaded passenger Airbus A340, the typical runway length is about 3,000m.

If you are looking to soar through your retirement safely through turbulence and volatility, an Airbus would provide more stability than a Cessna.

But, a much longer runway is needed.

Something to think about as we all are “taxiing” on the airport tarmac before we take off for our retirement.
